Wigs R You is my alternative hair shop in Roseville, California. The shop has been serving wig wearers in the community and beyond for 25 years. As its third owner, I’m delighted to help thousands of girls and women suffering from hair loss embrace their new identities. All of our staff at Wigs R You have been personally touched by hair loss. We know the emotional complexity of such a traumatizing experience. Wig wearing is a BIG deal! That’s why we’re the best equipped to guide you through your hair loss journey.
In late 2012, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and soon learned I’d need chemotherapy. I discovered something unique and special during my cancer journey – a beautiful wig shop that was more than just a wig shop. Wigs R You went above and beyond. They gave me the practical solution of hair replacement AND the emotional support one needs when facing hair loss. I quickly realized that I wanted to be a part of such a loving and caring community. I wanted to give back to the medical community in the same way I was cared for.

I took a leap of faith, decided not to go back to my previous line of work, and started working at the boutique in late 2013. Wigs R You is unlike any other wig shop in our area because we cater to the medical side of hair loss. We pride ourselves in whole client support. Our goal is to make sure you walk out of our shop with a beautiful hair piece AND feeling emotionally supported. This type of support isn’t typical for a wig shop. We’re determined to stand apart and be known for our love and compassion in the way we serve our clients.
I purchased the shop in 2019 and haven’t looked back. My sisters, niece, and long time friend run the shop with me. When you’re faced with a diagnosis that turns your life upside down, you might not know who to turn to. You’re looking for empathy and a connection with others who have been through the same experience. Losing your hair doesn’t have to be the worst part. It’s our passion and heartfelt desire to give every client the hope and dignity that comes from finding a beautiful solution to a very traumatic problem.

Stephanie McElroy
Stephanie McElroy is a wig consultant at Wigs R You. Her passion lies in helping you find the perfect hair for your journey, whether that journey is from medical treatment or life changes.
Stephanie is an ovarian cancer survivor and has experienced major hair loss from other medical treatments. She has firsthand experience as a caregiver for family who have been stricken with cancer and stroke. Stephanie knows how illness affects and changes lives and families.

Michelle Velasquez
Michelle has been in the beauty industry for 32 years. For the last 10 years, she has specialized in hair extensions and human and synthetic hair systems. She knows just how much hair means to women. She is devoted to helping ladies suffering from hair loss.
Michelle came to work for Wigs R You when her sister, Jenn, bought the shop in 2019. It opened a whole new avenue for her to explore and thrive in. Ladies come to Wigs R You from all around in hopes of finding a solution to their hair loss. For Michelle, creating custom pieces and making them their own is so exciting.
Michelle loves to spend her spare time outdoors roaming around in her jeep looking for a great camping spot or horseback riding with her daughter. She is a country girl at heart and takes every opportunity to be in nature.

Sonjia Martinez
Sonjia has been in the beauty industry for as long as she can remember. Her passions have always been hair and makeup. She enjoys working at Wigs R You with her aunties and mom.
As the receptionist, Sonjia’s is the first face you’ll see on your visit to Wigs R You. You’ll be greeted with a friendly smile and some coffee to put your anxieties at ease. As the color specialist at Wigs R You, she can take a human hair wig or topper and turn it into something that you’ll feel fabulous in.
Sonjia has been through medical procedures that have caused major thinning and understands the trauma it can cause. She knows how a great wig or topper can change your entire outlook on life.
Sonjia empathizes with the whirlwind of a cancer diagnosis. It can completely rock your world and turn it upside down. She is personally going through her own journey. It has caused her to see what so many of you are experiencing on such a personal level. It makes what she does at Wigs R You that much sweeter.
